Overview
RFIDTHREADS® is RFID in the form of a thread. Sewn or embedded into a seam, it disappears into the garment and stays with it for life. Where conventional hang tags and stickers are removed at the point of sale, the thread keeps every return scanning straight back to the exact unit that went out.
Four UHF variants cover everything from short-life pieces to heavy laundering (Lite (3 washes, 60°C), Flex (50 washes, 100°C), Sustain (200 washes, 150°C) and Max (200+ washes, 200°C+)), plus an NFC variant for tap-to-verify customer experiences. With less than 1% of the metal content of a conventional tag, threads also stay out of the way when a garment finally reaches recycling.
Use it for:
Threads ship pre-encoded with a unique EPC, or encoded to your own serialization scheme during manufacturing. Either way, each one maps to a serialized item in Supercycle from its first scan.
